چکیده

In the constructal design method, comprehension of effect on system performance is crucial to understanding contributions degrees freedom or constraints in evolution direction optimal configurations. However, problems with many are prohibitive optimization exhaustive search, requiring meta-heuristic strategies. Therefore, investigation algorithms essential. This work investigates canonical differential algorithm associated for geometric an isothermal double Y-shaped cooling cavity inserted into a wall internal heat generation. The four over thermal investigated using sixteen different combinations algorithms: variations mutation parameter, two values amplification factor (F) and crossover rate (CR). non-parametric statistical methods Kruskal–Wallis Dunn test were used identify parameters that improve efficiency. Results indicated proposed methodology selected proper combination DE (CR, F, mutation) led best all levels investigated.

Constructal design of tree-shaped conductive pathways for cooling a heat generating volume

Constructal design is used to study heat removal from a square heated body with a tree shaped high thermal conductivity pathways embedded in the body. The objective is to minimize the defined maximum dimensionless temperature difference for the body. The thermal conductivity of the body is low, and there is a uniform heat generation on it. The volume of the body is fixed. The amount of high con...

investigating the feasibility of a proposed model for geometric design of deployable arch structures

deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...

Constructal Theory Applied to the Geometric Optimization of Elliptical Cavities into a Solid Conducting Wall

This work reports, according to Bejan’s Constructal theory, the geometric optimization of an elliptical cavity that intrudes into a solid conducting wall. The objective is to minimize the global thermal resistance between the solid and the cavity. There is uniform heat generation on the solid wall. The cavity is optimized for two sets of thermal conditions: isothermal cavity and cavity bathed b...
